Location

The location of the CAB II conference is Halifax, Nova Scotia.

With a population of 360,000, Halifax is the capital of Nova Scotia and the largest city in Atlantic Canada.  The city offers a dynamic mix of heritage and culture, with a cosmopolitan feel, but a short drive from the city's core will bring you to small coastal villages, country charm and the natural beauty for which Nova Scotia is known.

Since being founded in 1749 as the first British town in Canada, Halifax has evolved to be a home for a diverse mix of people.  In the heart of the downtown, you'll find art galleries, museums, historic sites and churches, shopping, cafes and friendly pubs.  Walking up the city's rolling hills from the harbour will bring you to the Halifax Citadel, a star shaped fortress which offers splendid views of the city and waterfront.  In the evening, Halifax offers world class fine dining, entertainment, sporting events, and theatre.
